Job summary

University of Minnesota, Duluth Athletics is seeking an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach to design and implement programs for varsity teams in a manner aligned with university philosophy and safety regulations. You will work under the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach to enhance performance and student-athlete well-being.

This role requires collaboration with coaches, adherence to NCAA rules, and a commitment to excellence in classroom, community, and competition.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree required.
Demonstrated ability to communicate both written and verbally.
Demonstrated commitment to student-athlete well-being and building an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

Delivers strength and conditioning services to varsity teams, including scheduling and programming.
Establish and maintain relationships within the athletic department and university.
Provide instruction in safe spotting procedures for lifts to ensure athlete safety.
Administer testing procedures to identify strengths and weaknesses.
Manage inventory and strength & conditioning infrastructure.
Communicate regularly with head coaches and contribute to the department's budget.
