Gulfstream is seeking a student intern to support electrical and avionics engineering activities. Qualifications

  • 10–12 weeks (summer); 10–16 weeks (spring and fall).
  • Must work onsite; this is not a remote position.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

  • Majors: Electrical Engineering; Computer Engineering; Electrical Engineering Technology; Computer Science.
  • Electrical schematic/drawing interpretation.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Analyze flight data for electrical and avionics-related systems.
  • Provide on-wing engineering support to manufacturing and test teams.
  • Provide authorized engineering instruction/disposition for complex aircraft system issues.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other MRB Engineering disciplines.
  • Revise test specifications related to avionics and electrical systems.
  • Communicate new issues and trends with Electrical Systems and Avionics Design Engineers.
  • Conduct briefings with Gulfstream test pilots.
  • Review and disposition supplier component non-conformances.
  • Evaluate and resolve avionics and electrical system discrepancies on Gulfstream large-cabin aircraft.
  • Support aircraft manufacturing, testing, and flight operations while conforming to design specs, safety expectations, and certification requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (unrounded); must be listed on resume
  • Minimum duration: 10-12 weeks (summer); 10-16 weeks (spring and fall)
  • Must work onsite; this is not a remote position
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • No work visa sponsorship, unless the applicant is a currently sponsored Gulfstream employee
