Job summary

College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a work-study student at the Henderson Campus Registrar Front Desk to support callers, file records, data entry, and assist staff and students. The role is up to 20 hours per week at $14.00 per hour and runs Aug 24, 2026 to Dec 31, 2026, contingent on eligibility and awarded funds.

Reporting to the Office of the Registrar and supervised by Aneette Valdez, duties include answering calls, helping with campus events, and supporting faculty and visitors.

Work-Study Contract Dates

  • Work-study contracts for new hires will run from August 24, 2026, through December 31, 2026. Some students may receive shorter contract periods based on their hire date or financial aid eligibility.

What our office does

The Office of the Registrar supports the academic endeavors of CSN students, partners with faculty and staff to create learning opportunities, and serves as the steward of CSN’s institutional integrity through accurate recordkeeping of the students' academic lifecycle.



Position Description

This position aids our students and staff by completing the following duties:



  • Answering and transferring calls on a multi-line phone system

  • Filing paperwork, data entry, and assisting adjunct faculty with mail

  • Assisting walk-in students, faculty, and community members

  • Assistance with campus events

  • Additional duties as assigned

To maintain eligibility, students must:



  • Show a financial aid eligible major (degree or certificate program) declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar.

  • Meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress after each semester/term to qualify for employment within the academic year.

  • Show degree compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired.

  • Be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment.


The Student cannot work another part-time position within NSHE at the same time they are employed as a CSN College Work Study student.
