The role emphasizes education through athletics and alignment with Harvard’s standards of excellence and inclusion. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, at least 1 year of tennis coaching or playing experience at a collegiate or higher level, and CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Requires at least 1 year of tennis coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate, national, professional or Olympic level.
  • CPR and First Aid required or preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Head Coach in developing, coordinating, and planning practices and competition to develop student-athlete skills.
  • Analyze video to scout opponents and develop strategies for team development.
  • Recruitment planning and retention strategies aligned with excellence and inclusion.
  • Lead and communicate with students to generate enthusiasm for the team.
  • Assist in strategic decisions during contest situations; oversee strength and conditioning.
  • Assist in fundraising efforts and coordinating logistics for travel and events.
