Job summary

International College Portsmouth is seeking a proactive College Services Coordinator to support students from enrolment through progression. You will lead SEN(D) support, coordinate IEPs and adjustments, and work with academic colleagues to remove barriers to learning.

The role also involves data analysis to improve student outcomes, coordinating academic processes, and contributing to quality enhancement across the College. A collaborative, student-centered approach is essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education or student services.
  • Experience supporting students with disabilities or learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and student record systems.
  • Ability to analyse data and use insights to improve engagement and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead SEN(D) support provision with personalised and timely assistance.
  • Coordinate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and reasonable adjustments.
  • Identify at-risk students and coordinate proactive interventions.
  • Oversee academic administration processes (predicted grades, ECFs, reassessment).
  • Maintain accurate student records in line with GDPR and UKVI requirements.
  • Support student registration, re-registration and semester transitions.
  • Collect and report student data to inform decisions and improve retention.
  • Contribute to safeguarding, health and safety and wider operations.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and student-centredCollege Services Coordinator to join ourfantasticCollege Services Team!

This is a rewarding and varied role at the heart of the student experience, supporting students from enrolmentthrough toprogression to the University of Portsmouth. Working closely with colleagues across College Services, Learning and Teaching,Admissionsand the University, you will ensure every student receives the guidance,encouragementandpersonalisedsupport they need to succeed.

A key focus of the role is leading the College’s support for students with disabilities andadditionallearning needs. You will coordinate tailored support plans, implement reasonable adjustments, monitor studentprogressand work proactively with academic colleagues and specialist support services to remove barriers to learning.Your work will help ensure every student has the opportunity to achieve their academic goals and successfully progress to the next stage of their studies.

Alongside this, you will coordinate a range of academic support and student success initiatives,identifystudents who may be at risk, oversee key student support processes, contribute to quality enhancementactivitiesand use data to improve student outcomes across the College.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the College’s SEN(D) support provision, ensuring students with disabilities andadditionallearning needsreceivepersonalised,timelyand effective support throughout their studies.
  • Coordinate Individual Education Plans (IEPs), reasonableadjustmentsand targeted interventions, working collaboratively with academic colleagues and the University of Portsmouth tomaximisestudent success and progression.
  • Identifystudents who may be at risk academically or personally, coordinating proactive interventions through the College’s Academic CompassProgrammeand wider student support services.
  • Support and oversee key academic administration processes, including predicted grades, missed assessments, Extenuating Circumstances Forms (ECFs),reassessmentand academic integrity procedures.
  • Maintainaccuratestudent records and ensure compliance with College,GDPRand UKVI requirements.
  • Support student registration, re-registrationand semester transition activities.
  • Collect,analyseand report student data to inform decision-making, improveretentionand enhance the overall student experience.
  • Support academic quality assurance processes and continuous enhancement initiatives across the College.
  • Develop strong partnerships with colleagues across the University of Portsmouth and external stakeholders to ensure students receive seamless support.
  • Contribute to safeguarding, health and safety, sponsored studentreportingand the wider operational success of the College.
