Job summary

State of Colorado seeks a Pre-Collegiate Advisor to coordinate and implement pre-collegiate services for GEAR UP students. You will mentor cohorts, monitor academic progress, and lead college readiness activities in a high school setting.

Role emphasizes case management, collaboration with postsecondary institutions, and driving outreach to families and communities. Hybrid work environment with budget and reporting responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in education or related field.
• Two (2) years of experience in a high school or college setting.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license and compliance with all requirements for driving a state vehicle.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive case management through one-on-one and small group advising sessions with students.
• Facilitate monthly college and career readiness workshops.
• Build and lead a strong GEAR UP presence in the school.
• Promote dual enrollment and assist with coordination, implementation and reporting.
• Coordinate and host parent engagement events.
• Lead student recruitment activities.
