Job summary

The University of Maryland, College Park invites applications for an Education Advisor in the UGST-Academic Achievement Programs. The role advises on college admissions, financial aid, and readiness activities for Talent Search participants in Prince George's County Public Schools, with outreach and recruitment responsibilities.

Reporting to the Associate Director, you will develop workshops, manage data in the program database, and serve as a mentor and student advocate while coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of experience providing counseling or advising services.
• Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to four years of the required education.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and career planning advising to Talent Search participants.
• Coordinate outreach, public relations, recruitment, and selection of Talent Search participants.
• Facilitate workshops and seminars for Talent Search students.
• Assist in developing and implementing a database system for tracking student progress and entering data in the program's database.
• Perform other responsibilities as delegated by the Director and/or Program Director.
