Harlem Children’s Zone in New York City seeks a College Preparatory Program Coordinator to lead the College Preparatory Program team for Promise Academy or Zone After-School programs, guiding college access, matriculation, and postsecondary transition.

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in staff supervision, program development, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision making, partnering with scholars and families to expand college enrollment and persistence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in related field required.
• 2–3+ years in college admissions, counseling, and student advising.
• Experience using data‑driven methods to boost college enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach College Preparatory Program Counselors across assigned sites.
• Implement college-preparation strategies to support enrollment.
• Provide ongoing training on admissions and financial aid.
• Develop college-related classes for scholars during Day School hours.
• Coordinate college fairs, FAFSA workshops, and signing celebrations.
• Monitor and analyze college application and matriculation data.
• Maintain partnerships with colleges and universities.
