Job summary

Harlem Children's Zone (HCZ), a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York, seeks a College Leadership Coordinator to guide high-achieving students through college transition, persistence, and career readiness.

The role reports to our College Success Office (CSO) while aligning with Wealth Builds National Hub goals; the coordinator also takes on counseling and coordinating responsibilities to support student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in education or related field.
• 2–3 years of internship placement and student advising experience.
• Data-driven approach to boosting student success and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseloads of leadership program participants and guide college transition.
• Assist with class selection, financial aid renewal, and college transfers.
• Monitor progress toward educational goals and document student progress.
• Collaborate with Career Services and Wealth Builds teams on career opportunities.
• Collaborate with Social Services to address socio-emotional issues.
• Record college and career data for all participants and maintain case files.
• Develop Appreciative Advising Plans and maintain regular student contact.
• Coordinate campus visits and liaise with college offices for student support.
