Harlem Children's Zone is seeking a Program Coordinator to support its After-School Programming. You will help lead on-the-ground activities, track student progress, and collaborate with multiple sites to strengthen youth outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree, has 1+ years in program management in youth-focused settings, and 2+ years working with youth. After-school hours and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ years of program and employee management experience in youth development or after-school settings.
• 2+ years direct work with youth and after-school programming is desirable.
• Willingness to work after-school hours and collaborate across sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall program operations run smoothly and efficiently.
• Create and monitor documents to track academic and social progress of every child.
• Maintain participant numbers and conduct outreach when needed.
• Collaborate with other coordinators to ensure program cohesion.
• Assist in development of lesson plans, curriculum, and activities.
• Identify students needing academic support and provide services.
• Research events to enhance program experience and opportunities.
• Restructure and expand activities to reward positive involvement.
• Design and implement engaging programming for participants.
• Provide staff leadership development and training as needed.
• Facilitate staff, parent, and student meetings and represent HCZ initiatives.
