Job summary

Class 101 Northeast Cincinnati is seeking college planners to deliver one-on-one college planning sessions and lead group prep classes. You will work with students and families to navigate college admissions, financial aid, and essay development, using Class 101 curricula.

A driven, self-motivated professional who can learn and execute a proven system is ideal. You will join a collaborative team, work a 32–40 hour week with some evenings and weekends, and have opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and reliability in meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver effective meetings with students to educate and empower them on the college process using Class 101 curriculum.
  • Encourage and keep students on track through the college admissions process.
  • Serve as an instructor for group prep classes using Class 101 curricula.
  • Develop student goals, family budgets, and scholarship resources.
  • Provide regular summaries and reports on student progress.
  • Guide students through essay writing for main, supplemental, honors, and scholarship essays.
  • Grow client base through sales presentations and meet monthly/quarterly goals.

As dedicated college advisors, we recommend potential colleges fitting clients' factors and budget, as well as assist in identifying a career path that aligns with their abilities and interests. We support them in the steps necessary to achieve those goals in the most cost-effective manner possible.

We are seeking college planners at our Class 101 Northeast Cincinnati office-someone who will work collaboratively with a team to provide direct college planning to students through individual meetings. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dedicated to the needs of his or her clients, and willing to learn and execute a proven system for delivering college planning.

Job Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Be Limited To
  • Delivering effective meetings with students to educate and empower them on how to navigate the college process using the Class 101 curriculum
  • Encouraging, motivating, and keeping students on track as they progress through the college admissions process
  • Serving as an instructor for group prep classes, delivered using Class 101's curriculum
  • Gaining expertise in all Class 101 curricula and our approach to helping students and families including
    • Identifying student goals for college and career
    • Understanding family college budget requirements
    • Counseling students and families to identify resources for scholarships and financial aid
    • Providing expertise for developing college lists
    • Providing regular meeting summaries
    • Serving as a reliable, knowledge source for students and families
    • Maintaining and growing knowledge of colleges most reviewed by students in your area
    • Meeting deadlines for submitting applications
    • Developing and interpreting summary reports on students' progress on standardized tests.
    • Guiding students through the essay writing process to create and refine main, supplemental, honors, and scholarship essays
  • Increasing client base through delivery of sales presentations to potential students and families. Meeting and maintaining monthly and quarterly goals.
