Job summary

Southwestern Illinois College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Outcomes Assessment Coordinator in the Center for Teaching and Learning. Based at the Belleville Campus, the role focuses on developing and coordinating college-wide assessment models to improve student learning.

The candidate will design tools, analyze findings for reliability, and collaborate with faculty, administration, and external accrediting bodies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Assessment, Educational Research, or a related field (required).
• Three years of teaching experience, emphasizing student learning outcomes and evaluation.
• Applied knowledge of research and assessment methodology, curriculum development, and assessment design.
• Strong presentation skills to communicate plans and results to diverse audiences.
• Experience with diverse student populations (preferred).
• Meets the minimum standards of instruction for assigned courses.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing the College outcomes assessment model across course, program, and institutional levels.
• Design assessment models and ensure effectiveness of the assessment plan to improve student learning.
• Plan and coordinate assessment functions, collaborating with faculty, administration, and the Center for Teaching and Learning.
• Assess student performance and collaborate to evaluate instructional offerings and programs.
• Analyze findings for reliability/validity and share with stakeholders to devise implementation strategies.
• Oversee and coordinate outcomes assessment functions, including participation in committee structures.
• Coordinate assessments with HLC and ICCB guidelines and assist with training.
