Job Description

The Sales Management Trainee, Home Improvement, partners with the leadership team to complete a fourteen and a half month training program focused on becoming a Sales Manager upon successful completion. The position involves learning all aspects of the Home Improvement Sales business and other assigned departments during the program.

Requirements include successful completion of assessments, manager evaluations, and knowledge tests to progress through the program. The candidate must demonstrate leadership competencies required for the Sales Manager role upon completion. The training will cover areas such as Sales, Production, Call Center Operations, Business Analytics, or HVAC. The individual must demonstrate proficiency in all assignments and be prepared to assume a Sales Manager role at the end of the program.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduated in 2016 or will be graduating by the end of December 2016
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or Sales
• Effective communication skills (oral and written) to engage associates, managers, and customers
• Project management, organizational, and time management skills; ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
• Ability to adapt to change and display energy with new opportunities and processes
• Remain productive and composed under pressure or stress
• Ability to lift and carry product as required; occasional lifting of sample cases up to 40 lbs.
• Understand the importance of initiatives and prioritize accordingly
• Represent the company professionally, adhering to the Code of Conduct and Ethical Business Practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
