RK&K is seeking a Traffic Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027 in Wilmington, DE. You will work with a large team of traffic engineers on diverse projects across the mid-Atlantic region, gaining hands-on experience in design, forecasting, and analysis.
Interns will contribute to field data collection, bicycle/pedestrian facilities, ITS, signaling, and corridor planning while developing practical skills in traffic operations and safety.
RK&K is hiring a Traffic Engineering Intern to join our Traffic team in our Wilmington, DE office for the summer of 2027. As an intern in our Traffic Department at RK&K, you will receive on-the-job training, work alongside, and collaborate closely with one of the largest, most talented groups of traffic engineers and transportation professionals in the industry.
This internship is for Civil Engineering Students in the Transportation discipline who will have completed their second or third year at the end of the Spring 2027 semester.
In this role, interns will gain insight into various aspects of traffic engineering including design, forecasting, and analysis. Traffic Engineering Interns will be exposed to various challenges, projects and technologies related to traffic operations, safety, and design, and will complete tasks both in the office and in the field as needed.
