Job summary

RK&K offers a Civil Engineering internship for students interested in site and land development. Interns will gain insight into grading, site layout, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, utility design, sustainability, and review of existing site conditions.

Tasks will be performed both in the office and in the field as needed. RK&K has been a premier Civil Engineering firm across the US for over 100 years.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site grading and layout tasks.
• Support stormwater management and erosion/sediment control activities.
• Assist with utility design and sustainability analysis.
• Participate in office and field tasks to learn project delivery.
• Collaborate with engineers and other interns on project assignments.

Job description

This internship is for Engineering Students with an interest in Civil Engineering focused on Site and Land Development. In this role, interns will gain insight into various aspects of site development engineering including grading, site layout, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, utility design, sustainability, and review of existing site conditions. Our College Interns will be exposed to various challenges, projects and technology related to operations, safety, and design, and will complete tasks both in the office and in the field as needed.

Required Skills And Experience

Hourly Rate: $17-$26/hr.
