Job summary

RK&K is hiring a College Intern to join our Construction Management and Construction Inspection Division in Baltimore. This paid internship provides on-the-job training, mentorship, and exposure to materials testing, contract management, and client interface within the CM/CEI field.

Interns will assist with inspection of roadway and bridge structures, materials tracking, quantity calculations, and participate in project control meetings.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering & Management, Environmental Science or related area.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction management support, including inspection and monitoring of roadway and bridge structures to ensure compliance with contract documents and safety regulations.
• Assist with materials tracking and testing to ensure compliance as required.
• Provide contract management support for Construction Projects.
• Provide construction management support, including quantity calculations, as-built sketches, constructability reviews, attending project control meetings and other pre-operation meetings, and issue tracking.
• Engage in solving problems to provide technical evaluation and sound solutions.
• Review lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations using standard survey and field engineering equipment.

Individuals will be exposed to various challenges, projects and technology related to their specific discipline.

Pay Range

$17.00 - $26.00 / hour
