Job summary

RK&K is hiring a College Intern to join our Pennsylvania Construction Management and Construction Inspection Division. The internship offers on-the-job training, mentorship, and exposure to design through field work and client management, across multiple projects and disciplines.

You will gain hands-on experience providing construction management support, conducting inspections, tracking materials, and participating in project meetings.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Civil/Construction Eng or Environmental Sci degree.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist inspection and monitoring of roadway/bridge structures for safety and contract compliance.
• Assist materials tracking and testing to ensure compliance.
• Provide contract management support for construction projects.
• Assist quantity calculations, as-built sketches, constructability reviews, and issue tracking.
• Engage in solving problems with technical evaluations and solutions.
• Review lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations with survey equipment.

RK&K is hiring a College Intern to join our Pennsylvania Construction Management and Construction Inspection Division.

Our interns will receive on-the-job training, mentorship and insight into various aspects of the consulting Construction Management and Construction Inspection industry from design to field work and client management. Individuals will be exposed to various challenges, projects and technology related to their specific discipline.

As a paid intern in our CM/CEI Division you will:

• Provide construction management support, including assisting with inspection and monitoring of roadway and bridge structures to ensure compliance with contract documents and safety regulations
• Assisting with materials tracking and testing to ensure compliance as required
• Provide contract management support for Construction Projects
• Provide construction management support, including assisting with quantity calculations, as-built sketches, constructability reviews, attending project control meetings and other pre-operation meetings, and issue tracking
• Fully engage in solving problems to provide technical evaluation and sound solutions
• Review lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations using standard survey and field engineering equipment

Required Skills & Experience:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering & Management, Environmental Science or related area
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel)
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Classwork in Construction Engineering
• Participation in Professional Societies
• Applicable prior internship experience
