Position: Grant Writer (Remote, College Student Role) – Teens4Teens Nonprofit

Type: Volunteer / Unpaid Position

Commitment: 5–7 hours/week

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grant Writer to help us secure funding through grants that support our programs, outreach, and impact. This role is perfect for a student interested in nonprofit management, communications, fundraising, or public service.

Responsibilities
  • Research and identify prospective grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies
  • Write compelling, customized grant proposals and LOIs (Letters of Inquiry)
  • Assist in compiling documentation and data to support applications
  • Track deadlines, submission statuses, and follow-ups using project management tools
  • Collaborate with leadership to align funding proposals with organizational goals
  • Draft thank-you letters and impact reports for awarded grants
Qualifications
  • Must be a current college student (undergraduate or graduate) based in the U.S.
  • Strong writing, editing, and research skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated
  • Interest in nonprofit work, fundraising, or social impact
  • Prior grant writing experience is not required, but a plus
