May 17, 2025 - Study.com is hiring a remote ELA Reading Practice Test Writer. Location: USA.

Role Title

Study.com is dedicated to making education accessible and valuable. We are seeking passionate individuals to work online and create practice test questions to help students prepare for various professional exams.

As a Practice Test Writer, you will develop a variety of question types that are clear, relevant, and aligned with project specifications. You will be provided with learning objectives and sample questions to ensure your questions match the content, format, and difficulty of real standardized tests.

Exams we support include: Teaching Certificates (e.g., Praxis, ILTS, MTTC, GACE), Professional Certificates (e.g., SHRM, CPCE, FINRA Series 6, NCLEX), and Military Exams (e.g., ASVAB, AFOQT). You will write practice tests based on your subject matter expertise.

This is an online, remote contract position. All work is paid per piece.

Required Skills

• A Master's Degree or higher and/or current professional license/credential in English Language Arts.
• Knowledge and experience with the exams listed or related fields, or at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent writing skills with proper English grammar and mechanics, and the ability to follow instructions.
• Self-sufficient, motivated, and responsive to feedback as an online contractor.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with responsiveness to feedback.
