Northwestern Mutual is offering a College Financial Representative internship in Jersey City, designed to help you build a financial planning practice while you study. You’ll work with local and nationwide experts and gain access to exclusive products under the umbrella of a Fortune 500 company.

You’ll learn prospecting, planning, and client meetings while receiving weekly coaching, and you may pursue Series 6/63 licensing or CFP designation after graduation.

Qualifications

• Full-time student; juniors and seniors preferred.
• Entrepreneurial ambitions and curiosity for sales.
• Highly involved on campus (leader, athlete, campus orgs, student government, etc)
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Interest in financial literacy and planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to prospect and network to build your business and client base.
• Develop and execute on a business strategy.
• Call on potential clients and set meetings to understand their financial goals.
• Prepare plans and offer useful recommendations.
