Job summary

Northwestern Mutual invites motivated students to join its College Financial Representative internship. The program guides you as you begin building a personal financial planning practice with strong mentorship and access to exclusive resources.

You will learn to prospect and meet clients, develop business strategies, and work with planning software, while receiving weekly coaching and licensing support. A pathway to full-time positions exists after graduation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student with juniors or seniors preferred.
• Strong interest in financial literacy and planning tools.
• Excellent time-management and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Learn prospecting and networking to build your client base.
• Develop and execute a business strategy.
• Call on potential clients and set meetings to understand their financial goals.
• Prepare plans and offer useful recommendations.
• Gain exposure to planning software platforms.
• Engage in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
• Assist with licensing processes for life, health, DI, LTC.
