Job summary

The Allen Institute is seeking an Education & Engagement Specialist III to lead the development and delivery of educator professional development resources and programs. This role focuses on undergraduates and collaborates with the broader Education & Engagement team, the Communications department, and scientific partners to create impactful learning experiences for educators, students, and the public.

Ideal candidates will have a strong scientific background, college-level teaching or

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education or biology
2 years of experience providing professional development training for STEM faculty, staff, and/or students
4+ years of research experience or Masters/PhD preferred

Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to Education & Engagement programs, events, and materials development across Allen Institute divisions
Collaborate with Education & Engagement team, Communications, scientific partners, external collaborators
Develop and maintain network of educator contacts across universities, nonprofits, and agencies
Plan and deliver educator professional development workshops, webinars, communities of practice
Represent the Institute at conferences and professional societies
Collect and analyze feedback to improve training outcomes
