Job summary

The UCLA Teaching and Learning Center seeks a Senior Associate Director of Instructor Engagement and Educational Development to lead strategic design, implementation, and assessment of educational programs that promote inclusive excellence across UCLA’s undergraduate, graduate, and professional education.

The role drives initiatives in instructor engagement, classroom observation, and pedagogical pathways, partners with campus units and UC systems, and guides staff to advance teaching innovation

Qualifications

• Terminal or top degree in the appointee's field, or the highest degree commonly expected for appointment.
• Demonstrated experience (3-4 years) in academic administration supporting teaching and learning at a postsecondary institution.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, administration, and continuous improvement of educational development programs and services.
• Oversee pedagogical programming that supports modernized learning spaces and innovative teaching practices.
• Design and expand classroom observation and formative feedback initiatives.
• Engage instructors, departments, and professional schools in evidence-based and inclusive teaching practices.
• Collaborate with campus and UC partners to strengthen educational development programming and partnerships.
