College Counselor - Former Admissions Officer

Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $110.00/hr

Ivy Talent Education is seeking Former Admissions Officers with direct experience evaluating undergraduate applications at a Top 50 US university or Top 25 US liberal arts college (based on U.S. News or other equivalent rankings). This role is ideal for professionals with insider knowledge of elite admissions standards who are ready to provide personalized guidance to students applying to selective undergraduate universities and liberal arts colleges.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert college admissions advising to students and families
• Evaluate student profiles and develop tailored admissions strategies
• Offer detailed, strategic feedback on personal statements, supplemental essays, resumes, activity lists, and other materials
• Conduct mock interviews and coach students on presentation and communication (online via Zoom)

Qualifications

• Former Admissions Officer at a Top 50 US university or Top 25 US liberal arts college (required)
• Direct experience in evaluating undergraduate applications and making acceptance decisions
• Deep understanding of US undergraduate admissions practices and institutional priorities
• Strong writing, editing, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously with professionalism

Preferred Experience

• Experience in college counseling, educational consulting, or independent advising
• Experience working with both US domestic and international applicants
