Employment Type: Temporary Full time, May-August/September

Location: Remote · USA in eligible NOLS locations.

Salary: $17 - $20 (USD) per hour

Team: Expeditions Admissions Team

Job Description

As a Seasonal Admissions Officer, you will work as a member of the NOLS Expeditions Admissions team to provide excellent service to enrolled students, their families, and emergency contacts. You will be responsible for managing the enrollment process, securing tuition payments, and supporting admissions for both Expedition and Custom Education courses.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Represent and promote NOLS positively to students, families, and contacts.
  2. Communicate effectively and timely about course details, policies, and logistics.
  3. Manage enrollment communications, handle sensitive topics tactfully, and de-escalate conflicts.
  4. Maintain engagement with students and manage rosters, including tuition and forms.
  5. Support with webinar presentations, administrative tracking, and other projects as assigned.
  6. Work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to support student needs.
  7. Collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth enrollment and student experience.
  8. Support students with financial aid, visas, and other logistics.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Passion for customer service and the NOLS mission.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently or in a team.
  • Experience supporting expedition operations or proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
