Windham School District is seeking a Student Advisor to manage placement and testing of students within the educational environment. You will support teachers and staff to improve instruction, discipline, and campus performance.

The role requires strong communication, district knowledge, and the ability to coordinate GED and other testing programs while collaborating with campus leadership.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree from CHEA/USDE-accredited college or university.
• Standard School Counselor certificate issued by SBEC.
• SBEC Mid-Management/Administrator/Principal certificate or other admin certificate.
• This position requires personal technology for remote work.

Aufgaben

• Identify, assess, and enroll students in programming suited to their educational needs.
• Maintain appropriate class size by placing students in suitable programs.
• Support district goals and campus improvement in student placement.
• Provide teachers and students with resources for college and career planning and readiness.
• Advise students regarding educational decisions and program information.
• Maintain GED examiner status and coordinate testing (GED, EA, vocational testing).
• Develop relationships with teachers to address student misconduct effectively.
• Assist principal with campus leadership and meetings; monitor improvement plans.
• Represent administration for Admission, Review and Dismissal committees and others.
• Collaborate with TDCJ administration and staff.
• Attend staff development and perform additional duties as assigned.
