Job summary

Renton Technical College is seeking a College & Career Pathways Navigator to support the CCP division, guiding ESL, GED, HS+ and undecided students through intake, enrollment and onboarding, and acting as advocate for CCP students.

Reporting to the Dean of CCP and the Associate Dean of ELA, I-BEST, & Bridge Program, this full-time position requires collaboration, strong communication, and commitment to inclusive education within a grant-funded program through 2027.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of professional experience in an adult education program such as HS+, GED, ABE, ELL, LEP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Education or related field.
• Ability to work with diverse adult learners, including non-native English speakers.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and guide all CCP students (ESL, GED, HS+, Bilingual HS+, etc).
• Respond to inquiries via text, email, or phone.
• Meet with prospective and new students to explain enrollment requirements for transitional studies.
• Monitor class enrollment to plan intake sessions.
• Assist students with admissions applications and intake forms.
• Monitor and follow up with student pipeline from inquiry to first quarter of enrollment.
• Collaborate with CCP and entry team to run intake and orientation sessions.
• Advise prospective students and families about admissions processes.
• Adhere to FERPA in releasing student information.
• Refer students to resources for success.
• Collaborate with faculty to maintain student services.
• Participate in committees, outreach events, and campus engagement.
• Contribute to a respectful, inclusive learning environment.
