Lorain County Community College's Core:Tech desk in the Commodore Books & More store in Elyria is seeking a part-time Customer Service Representative. This role focuses on sales, helping students and staff, and connecting customers with resources.

The ideal candidate will use problem solving and people skills, handle inquiries, cross-sell, and keep displays organized while representing the college in a friendly, professional manner.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications: Maintain regular and predictable attendance; must be a high school graduate or in possession of equivalent certification.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, courteous service at the Core:Tech desk, as well as on the sales floor; recommend products to customers through cross-selling.
• Respond to in-person questions in a timely and friendly manner, connecting customers to additional resources as needed.
• Communicate customer needs and situations to the appropriate department and/or managers for further investigation.
• Troubleshoot work related problems by sharing new ideas with other team members and supervisors.
• Make outbound calls when customer ordered materials are in stock; answer inbound calls to assist students with their bookstore needs.
• Assist with merchandise and orderliness of displays; clean, organize, receive, remove, and price merchandise as directed.
