Job summary

Rescue Mission of Trenton seeks a College and Career Readiness Instructor to empower adult learners through GED and credential preparation. You will deliver engaging instruction across language arts, social studies, science, and math, while guiding students toward their career goals and improved prospects.

This role emphasizes assessment, individualized support, and collaboration with staff to strengthen programs that help families build skills, confidence, and pathways to brighter futures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Adult Education, Human Services, English, Mathematics, Social Sciences, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching, training, or adult education experience preferred.
• Experience with GED preparation and adult learning strategies.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging classes in language arts, social studies, science, and mathematics.
• Prepare individuals for GED and certification exams through high-quality instruction and academic support.
• Help individuals overcome barriers to participation by connecting them with resources and support services.
• Monitor student progress and celebrate milestones along the path to success.
• Develop standards-aligned lesson plans and instructional materials that promote learning and achievement.

Salary: $55,700 annually

Schedule: Monday – Friday (MWF – 8:00-4:00 / T, Th 11:00-7:00)

What You’ll Do
