Job summary

Ridgewater College is seeking a fiscal management specialist to lead accounting reconciliation, compliance monitoring, and financial reporting at the Willmar/Hutchinson campus. You will guide financial transactions, grants, and contracts, while ensuring accurate records and timely reporting.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, budgeting, and the ability to interpret complex policies for stakeholders, with a focus on accuracy and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Two years of work-related experience; a Bachelor's degree may substitute for 12 months, and an Associate's degree may substitute for 6 months.
• Skilled in accounts receivable and computerized billing systems, with the ability to accurately enter, access, and correct financial data.
• Experienced in accounting systems, capable of querying and compiling records, preparing reports, and supporting spending plans and budgets.
• Knowledge of GAAP and maintaining precise, complete financial records.
• Able to interpret and explain accounting and fiscal policies to customers.
• Knowledge of disbursements, purchasing and receipts techniques.

Responsibilities

• Financial management of grants and projects; maintain chart of accounts and monitor expenses against parameters.
• Provide accounting services for lease agreements, PSEO contracts, and college revenue activities.
• Prepare monthly budget summaries, audit support, and corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure expenditures are recorded in Minnesota State systems following policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties to support department operations and partnerships.
