Job summary

CAMBA invites applications for a College Bound Instructor to support students toward postsecondary success in Brooklyn and New York City. The role includes tracking attendance, counseling students, and helping them navigate admissions, FAFSA, and financial aid.

The position works with SUNY Buffalo State and SUNY Delhi classes, with data entry in Client Track, and collaboration with school staff and funders. A bachelor’s degree and youth experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work or related field.
• Two years applicable experience working with youth.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Computer literacy in other Microsoft Office Suite products.

Responsibilities

• Track student attendance and reach out to absent students daily.
• Counsel students regularly via CAMBA offices, by telephone or home visits.
• Create and update post-secondary work plans for enrolled students.
• Enter all required data into CAMBA’s Client Track database.
• Provide guidance on admissions, FAFSA, enrollment, and financial aid filing.
• Plan and organize program activities to achieve contract goals and performance targets.
• Accompany students on field trips to SUNY Buffalo State and SUNY Delhi.
