Job summary

Improve Your Tomorrow (IYT) seeks a College Advising Mentor Specialist to lead daily on-site programming for students in grades 9–12. You will provide 1:1 mentorship, run open study halls, and ensure consistent family engagement and student support on campus.

You will monitor GPA and college readiness, document in Salesforce within 24 hours, and coordinate handoffs to the College Completion Mentor Specialist in spring. A Bachelor's degree and equity commitment are required.

Qualifications

• Commitment to equity and to supporting young men of color.
• Bachelor's degree required; preferred in education, social work, youth development, or related field.
• Experience building relationships with students, families, and school partners.

Responsibilities

• Mentor students 1:1 and lead daily IYT programming on-site.
• Run open study halls and structured programming, including family engagement.
• Monitor GPA, college eligibility progress, and attendance across caseload.
