Job summary

Emporia State University is seeking a College Access Coordinator to expand access to higher education through high school outreach, student engagement, and enrollment support. You will work with students, families, counselors, and community partners to connect prospective students with Jump Start, CTE pathways, and admissions initiatives.

Reporting to the Director of School Relations & Partnerships, you will coordinate events, develop College 101 programming, maintain CRM records, and promote

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Business, Student Affairs, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Three years of professional experience in secondary education, higher education admissions or recruitment, or related field.
• Experience organizing events and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for Jump Start and college access initiatives through enrollment processes.
• Coordinate enrollment documentation, follow-up, and student communications.
• Conduct high school visits, presentations, and college events promoting access opportunities.
• Develop College 101 programming to aid pathway exploration and transition to higher education.
• Maintain relationships with counselors, educators, and community partners.
• Coordinate ESU faculty and academic engagement with prospective students.
• Maintain records using CRM and reporting tools.
• Distribute recruitment materials and packets in a timely manner.
• Build relationships with alumni educators in the region.
