Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Commitment to equity, access, and supporting diverse student populations.
• Expertise in strengths-based, youth development practices.
• Extensive experience working with urban adolescents, individually and in groups.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with follow-up and outreach.
• Collaborates with NYC Public Schools guidance counselors and CBO teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Oversee student caseload and collaborate with school personnel for best outcomes.
• Foster student social intelligence through advisory workshops and community events.
• Adapt advisory curriculum for engaging lesson planning to meet developmental needs and employability skills.
• Refer families to outside health, social services, or day care services as needed.
• Provide intervention and make referrals for students as needed.
• Conduct attendance outreach via calls, letters, and home visits.
