Westlake Financial Services is seeking a Skip Trace Agent in Las Vegas, NV. This on-site role focuses on locating delinquent borrowers and collateral using advanced skip tracing techniques to support recovery efforts.

You'll work with recovery agents, collections, and legal teams, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations while maintaining accurate case files and coordinating next steps with internal departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years in skip tracing, collections, repossession, or related field.
• Proficient with skip tracing tools (TLOxp, LexisNexis, Clear, IDI CORE).
• Strong computer and internet research skills.
• Knowledge of FDCPA, FCRA, and repossession laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.

Position Summary

The Repossession Skip Trace Agent is responsible for locating delinquent borrowers and collateral (e.g., vehicles, equipment) for recovery through advanced skip tracing techniques. This role requires strong investigative skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with skip tracing tools and databases. The specialist works closely with recovery agents, collection teams, and legal departments to facilitate successful repossession efforts in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Use skip tracing databases, public records, and investigative tools to locate individuals and/or collateral.
• Verify and analyze information to confirm accuracy of addresses, employment, relatives, and associates.
• Maintain accurate, detailed case files with all efforts, contacts, and findings.
• Communicate findings with repossession agents and coordinate recovery efforts.
• Work closely with internal departments to support recovery and minimize losses.
• Follow all applicable laws and regulations, including FDCPA, GLBA, FCRA, and privacy guidelines.
• Perform outbound calls and emails to references, employers, and known contacts when appropriate and compliant.
• Identify patterns or trends that may indicate location strategies for hard-to-find accounts.
• Maintain productivity, compliance, and quality metrics as defined by department standards.
• Assist in updating and maintaining skip tracing software tools and lead sources.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in skip tracing, collections, repossession, or related field.
• Proficient with skip tracing tools (e.g., TLOxp, LexisNexis, Clear, IDI CORE, etc.)

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with recovery management software (e.g., RDN, DRN).
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
• Prior law enforcement, private investigation, or repo industry experience beneficial.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Standard office hours; some flexibility may be required depending on case urgency.
• May involve working nights or weekends to contact hard-to-reach individuals.
• Remote or hybrid options may be available depending on company policy.

Compensation

• Hourly salary range: $16 to $18 based on experience

• The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable
