Job summary

HireRight in Nashville is seeking a Supervisor, Collections to coordinate day-to-day collections operations, ensure timely follow-up, proper documentation, and effective resolution of past-due balances. You will report to the Manager, Collections and serve as a key operational resource in maintaining quality and control across the function.

You will lead the team in daily workflow, drive KPI monitoring, and collaborate with Sales, Account Management, and Finance to accelerate cash conversion

Qualifications

• 5+ years of O2C operations experience with people or workflow leadership.
• Experience with ERP, billing, collections, CRM, or reporting tools.
• Experience in a SOX-controlled environment and proficiency with Excel and ERP/reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily collections activity across assigned accounts and coordinate with Sales, Account Management, and Finance to accelerate resolution and cash conversion.
• Investigate delinquent balances, identify root causes of disputes or delays, and partner with internal stakeholders to resolve issues quickly while maintaining a professional customer experience.
• Support collections reporting, aging reviews, escalation tracking, and KPI monitoring to ensure timely, documented, compliant activities.
• Supervise daily workflow, service levels, quality, and training across the collections team; provide coaching and reinforce documentation and control discipline.

Overview

The Supervisor, Collections will help coordinate and support day-to-day collections operations, ensuring timely customer follow-up, consistent documentation, and effective issue resolution across past-due balances, disputes, and payment commitments. Reporting to Manager, Collections and based in Nashville, this role will serve as an important operational resource in maintaining quality, responsiveness, and control discipline across the collections function.

Responsibilities

Collections Operations & Customer Follow-Up: Manage daily collections activity across assigned accounts, including outreach to customers, follow-up on past-due balances, payment commitment tracking, and coordination with Sales, Account Management, and Finance partners to accelerate resolution and cash conversion.

Dispute Resolution & Escalation Management: Investigate delinquent balances, identify and document root causes of disputes or payment delays, and partner with internal stakeholders to resolve issues quickly while maintaining a professional customer experience.

Cash Conversion, Controls & Reporting: Support collections reporting, aging reviews, escalation tracking, and KPI monitoring. Help ensure collection activities are timely, documented, compliant with policy, and aligned to internal control expectations.

Team Supervision & Quality Management: Supervise daily workflow, service levels, quality, and training across the collections team. Provide coaching, monitor performance, and reinforce documentation, escalation, and control discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent practical experience may be considered where appropriate.
• 5+ years of relevant O2C operations experience with prior people or workflow leadership experience.
• Experience working with ERP, billing, collections, CRM, or reporting tools and a strong comfort level handling transaction detail, issue tracking, and customer or stakeholder communication.
• Experience in a SOX-controlled environment, service-oriented mindset, and proficiency with Excel and ERP/reporting tools.

Skills & Capabilities

• Strong communication and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage customer and internal stakeholder interactions professionally and effectively.
• Solid operational discipline, attention to detail, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with deadlines, escalations, and high transaction volume.
• Understanding of internal controls, documentation standards, and KPI-driven performance management in a business-to-business collections environment.
• Proficiency with D365, CRM/ticketing tools, Excel, reporting tools and comfort working with aging, dispute, and collections performance data.
• Ability to coach, guide, and develop team members while reinforcing service expectations, accountability, and process consistency.
