Hyundai Capital America in Plano, TX is seeking a Collections Strategy Manager to lead data-driven initiatives across collections. The role focuses on improving processes, testing strategies, and driving cross-functional collaboration with IT, Compliance, and vendors to deliver measurable improvements.

You will guide workstreams from planning to post-implementation reviews, analyze performance, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for leadership and teams.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressive experience in collections, risk, financial services operations, or related business operations.
• Experience supporting strategy, analysis, process improvement, or operational performance initiatives.
• Automotive finance, captive finance, or financial services industry experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with SQL/Business Intelligence (BI) tools or programming.
• Ability to research complex business problems, analyze data, evaluate alternatives, and develop fact-based recommendations.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings and recommendations clearly to business partners and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a self-directed environment while managing priorities and deliverables.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Collections Strategy Manager is responsible for supporting Collections strategy through datadriven analysis, process improvement, and cross‑functional initiative execution. This role leads defined workstreams in partnership with internal stakeholders, including IT, Compliance, and third‑party vendors, to evaluate business processes, identify operational improvement opportunities, support testing strategies, and translate findings into actionable recommendations. This role also supports structured problem‑solving and operational performance improvement efforts that help strengthen individual, team, and departmental outcomes.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Lead defined Collections strategy workstreams and support department‑level initiatives from planning through implementation, including project coordination, scheduling, tracking, reporting, user acceptance testing, business validation, and post‑implementation review. Partner closely with IT, Compliance, and third‑party vendors to support effective execution and business alignment.

Analyze Collections processes, procedures, and systems to identify operational improvement opportunities. Develop data‑driven recommendations and support implementation of strategies that improve process effectiveness, operational efficiency, and overall performance.

Support Collections strategy testing by developing, designing, and implementing A/B tests to evaluate operational activities, measure outcomes, and inform data‑driven business decisions.

Support operational coaching and structured problem‑solving efforts by partnering with leaders and stakeholders to identify performance gaps, co‑create solutions, and improve individual, team, and departmental outcomes.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in collections, risk, financial services operations, or a related business operations function.

Experience supporting strategy, analysis, process improvement, or operational performance initiatives preferred.

Automotive finance, captive finance, or financial services industry experience preferred.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience with SQL/Business Intelligence (BI) tools or programing.

Demonstrated ability to research complex business problems, analyze data, evaluate alternatives, and develop fact‑based recommendations.

Ability to communicate analytical findings and recommendations clearly to business partners, leaders, and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Ability to work independently in a self‑directed environment while managing assigned priorities and deliverables.

Knowledge of collections operations, financial services processes, strategy testing, performance measurement, forecasting, and planning methodologies.

Strong working knowledge of operational systems, business software, data management tools, and data analytics tools.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to organize data and present insights effectively.

Ability to apply data management and analytical concepts within a financial services or collections operations environment.
