Job summary

Sound Credit Union is seeking a Loss Management Representative in Tacoma, WA for a full-time role at our corporate office. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in a financial institution, with a hybrid travel schedule and a Monday–Friday shift plus rotating Saturdays.

Compensation ranges from $22.86 to $34.28 per hour, with a targeted range of $22.86–$28.57 based on experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Contact members through various channels to resolve delinquent accounts, negotiate payment arrangements, and document collection efforts while preparing regular activity reports.
• Manage charged-off loan recovery processes, recommend charge-offs and legal actions, and handle bankruptcy accounts, including monitoring and reviewing assigned cases.
• Administer insurance follow-ups, respond to credit bureau disputes, and ensure high member satisfaction.

Your Compensation: Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered and provide room for growth over time. The target salary range for this position is $22.86 – $28.57, depending on previous experience and education. The full salary range is $22.86 – $34.28.

What You’ll Do:

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a financial institution required.
• Account collection experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

In addition:

• Must be bondable.
• Employer sponsorship to secure or maintain employment authorization is not available.

Our Hours:

To best serve our members, this position requires a hybrid schedule of Monday – Friday with shifts between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, affording a day off during the week. In your role, you may have the ability to combine in-person and remote work once fully trained.
