Job summary

Sound Credit Union in Parkland/Tacoma, WA is seeking a Banker / Universal Associate II to perform routine financial transactions and open new consumer accounts. The role supports loans, with in-person hours at Parkland and Lakewood branches.

Qualified candidates have at least one year of teller or banking experience, high school diploma, and ability to handle deposits, withdrawals, and loan processing. In-person schedule with weekday shifts and rotating Saturdays.

• Open new consumer accounts including: savings, checking, money market, certificates of deposit, minor accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA’s), Health Savings Accounts etc.
• Accept, review, and process consumer loans.

Your Compensation:Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered and provide for room for growth over time. The target salary range for this position is $22.50 - $25.00 depending on previous experience and education. The full salary range is $22.50 –$27.50.

As a branch employee, you will also be eligible for a wide rangeof incentives tied to certain products and services, paid out quarterly.This plan is designed to incentivize team members to not only meet but surpass the production goals set forth by the Credit Union management. Moreover, when a branch successfully meets their quarterly goals and passes the quarterly branch audit, we express our appreciation by providing a monetary incentive to the branch team members.

What You’ll Do:

Universal Associate II:

• Experience in opening new accounts and loans required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

In addition:

• Must be bondable.
• Employer sponsorship to secure or maintain employment authorization not available.

Our Hours:

To best serve our members, this position requires an in-person schedule. Shifts are typically Monday – Friday, 8:45 AM – 5:15 PM or 9:15 AM – 5:45 PM, with rotating Saturdays 8:45 AM – 1:15 PM, affording a day off during the week. This position will be temporarily based out of our Lakewood Branch while our Parkland Branch undergoes a remodel.
