Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking an Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist to join a collaborative finance team in Illinois. You will focus on resolving customer account issues, improving cash flow, and maintaining strong client relationships.

You will manage B2B collections, perform reconciliation, and provide reporting to leadership. The ideal candidate has extensive AR experience, advanced Excel skills, and ERP/NetSuite familiarity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in accounts receivable and collections.
• Strong B2B collections background.
• Experience reconciling customer accounts and resolving payment discrepancies.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP.
• ERP experience; NetSuite a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
• Experience in service/manufacturing/distribution industries preferred.
• Associate degree in Accounting or related field.
• Positive, adaptable, customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage business-to-business collections activities and customer account follow-up
• Communicate with customers regarding past-due balances via phone and email
• Research, reconcile, and resolve account discrepancies, deductions, and payment issues
• Review aging reports and prioritize collection efforts to improve cash flow
• Investigate and resolve misapplied payments and customer disputes
• Partner with internal departments to resolve billing and account concerns
• Maintain accurate account documentation within the ERP system
• Prepare reporting and analysis to support management and customer account reviews
• Assist with audits of receivable balances and account accuracy
