Job summary

AvidXchange is seeking a Collections Representative in Charlotte, NC to contact high-risk and delinquent accounts, resolve delinquencies, and help prevent losses. This role focuses on skip tracing, outreach by phone/email/mail, and collaborative strategies to recover revenue.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in Customer Service or Collections, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ of Customer Service or Collections Experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills (written and oral).
• Patience and ability to manage stress.
• Proven ability to overcome obstacles and get results.

• Self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Perform skip tracing to contact the debtor and research accounts.
• Contact debtors by telephone/email or mail regarding collection and recovery of outstanding accounts.
• Develop collections methods to achieve financial goals.
• Collaborate with team members to generate revenue and success.
• Process repayments and refunds as needed.
• Meet department goals and activity metrics as assigned by management.
• Follow up on promises to pay and ensure positive resolution and client satisfaction.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Collections Representative

The Collections Representative is responsible for helping to achieve the company financial goals. An incumbent is responsible for contacting the high risk and delinquent accounts in an effort to effectively resolve account delinquency and prevent losses.

What you’ll do

• Perform skip tracing to contact the debtor, research each account using company records and Internet resources that are made available
• Contact debtors by telephone/email or mail regarding collection and recovery of outstanding accounts
• Develop collections methods that consistently lead to achieving or exceeding company financial goals
• Work closely with team members to create ways to bring in revenue and find success as a group
• Solve problems quickly and create solutions that bring revenue on regular basisProcess repayments and refunds if needed
• Meet defined department goals and activity metrics as assigned by management
• Follow up on promise to pay and payment commitment accounts to ensure a positive resolution and client satisfaction
• An incumbent may perform additional duties as assigned
