Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Collections Representative to manage third-party AR, analyze denied and unresponded claims, and coordinate with insurance carriers to resolve issues. The role requires a high school diploma and Excel proficiency, with hours Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST.

Telecommuting options may apply, provided a private work area and adherence to HIPAA standards. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage third-party accounts receivable by analyzing denied and unresponded claims.
• Outbound calls to insurance carriers to appeal and check claims status.
• Coordinate with insurance carriers to resolve issues.
• Familiar with explanation of benefits.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Meet daily production and quality standards.
• Process insurance/patient refunds and adjustments.
• Respond to emails regarding AR issues in a timely manner.

Collections Representative - Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (PST, MST, CST)

Pay: $17.71+ per hour Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing Third - Party AR by analyzing denied and un-responded claims
• Outbound calls to insurance carriers to appeal and check claims status
• Coordinate with insurance carriers to reconcile/resolve any issues
• Familiar with explanation of benefits
• Always Maintain Compliance and HIPAA standards
• Meet or exceed daily production standards by maintaining work list according to metrics
• Meet or exceed daily quality standards
• Perform other duties and functions as assigned
• Process insurance/patient refunds and adjustments
• Evaluate and respond to all emails request for any AR issues to resolve in a timely matter

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age OR older

• Ability to work between the hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM CST

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical Billing experience
• Familiar with explanation of benefits and appeals
