Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-orientedCollections Managerto lead our collections department. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to manage and recover outstanding debts while maintaining strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement effective collections strategies to maximize debt recovery.
  • Ensure all collection efforts comply with legal and company standards.
• Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of collections agents.
  • Provide training and performance evaluations to improve productivity and outcomes.
• Account Oversight
  • Review and assess delinquent accounts to determine next steps.
  • Communicate with customers to negotiate payment plans, settlements, or alternative solutions.
• Compliance & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
  • Generate regular performance and activity reports for upper management.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with legal, finance, and customer service teams to resolve complex cases.
  • Maintain partnerships with external collection agencies and legal advisors.
• Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor industry trends and implement best practices.
  • Explore and introduce new tools and technologies to enhance collections efficiency.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experiencein credit and collections, preferably within a corporate or financial services environment.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, overseeing collections teams or departments.
• Demonstrated success in implementing collections strategies that improved recovery rates or operational efficiency.
• Experience working with third-party collection agencies and legal counsel on complex recovery cases.
• Familiarity with relevant tools and platforms, such as collections CRM systems, billing software, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
• Track record of maintaining compliance with FDCPA, CFPB, and other regulatory bodies.
