Job summary

Genesis Reference Laboratories is seeking a Collections Care Specialist to be the face of Genesis in the field and at partner sites. This role blends patient care, specimen collection, logistics, and relationship management.

You will work directly with patients, collect specimens with precision, use the Genuin LIS for orders and documentation, and support site operations across assigned locations. This is a fast-paced role demanding independence, compassion, and accuracy, with a focus on quality

Qualifications

• 1+ year of direct patient care or customer service experience.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn systems (Genuin, EMR/EHR).
• Reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Professional communication (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens (urine, blood, and other samples) with precision and professionalism.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered support during collections.
• Use our LIS system (Genuin) for patient entry, orders, and documentation.
• Prepare and manage collection kits and supplies.
• Transport specimens safely as part of our medical courier workflow.
• Serve as a key liaison between Genesis and partner healthcare providers.
• Support site operations and growth across assigned locations.
