Location: Tampa, FL or Jacksonville, FL.

HeadsUp Healthcare is seeking a Collections Specialist in our Tampa, FL office to support our Finance Team. We are a patient-first specialty managed care company for injured workers, focusing exclusively on above-the-neck injuries. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, paid time off, and a 401K plan. We are looking for talented, professional team members to provide superior customer care.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming finance calls and email inquiries from customers and providers.
• Communicate with outside customers regarding billing issues.
• Collaborate on collection strategies with management and leadership.
• Contact customers by telephone to coordinate payment of outstanding balances.
• Educate customers on billing processes to prevent recurring delinquency.
• Maintain accurate records of all documents, payments, and related information.
• Research resources to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Analytical skills with effective research abilities.
• Proficiency with office equipment and software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, follow procedures, and actively listen.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook and MS Office.
• Experience with AR Analytics, Client Reporting in Excel, and AR Training/Coaching.
• Experience with contract review for finance, web-based claim verification, and discussing collection plans with management.

Education and Experience:

• Healthcare collections experience.
• EDI Electronic Billing experience.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
