Job summary

Consilio LLC is seeking a Collections / Accounts Receivable Specialist to own the firm’s AR and collections function. You will work directly with the Director of Finance in a hybrid environment after onboarding, empowering you to develop processes and build relationships with attorneys and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of accounts receivable, collections, or revenue cycle experience.
• Law firm or professional services experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting software.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
• Degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the firm's accounts receivable portfolio and collections efforts across all aging categories.
• Communicate professionally with clients, billing contacts, and accounts payable departments to resolve outstanding balances and payment issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys and firm leadership regarding collection strategies, aging trends, payment plans, and delinquent accounts.
• Monitor receivables, identify at-risk accounts, and proactively escalate concerns before they become larger issues.
• Prepare and distribute collections reports, aging analyses, retainer reports, and other financial metrics.
• Assist with month-end reporting and support ongoing improvements to accounting procedures and workflows.

A respected boutique law firm is seeking a Collections / Accounts Receivable Specialist to take ownership of the firm's collections and receivables function. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, a CPA who is actively modernizing the department, this role serves as the firm's sole AR and collections professional.
