El Dorado Irrigation District is seeking a Collection System Supervisor to plan, direct, and supervise the operation and maintenance of the District’s wastewater collection system. This position has not been vacant in more than 20 years, so it is a rare chance to step into a long-established leadership role.
Reporting to the Wastewater/Recycled Water Manager, you’ll lead hands‑on technical and maintenance crews responsible for pipelines, lift stations, and related facilities. You’ll oversee construction, repair, and inspection work, respond to emergencies, ensure compliance with State regulatory and safety requirements, and work with other District departments and outside agencies. EID has provided wastewater service since 1973 as part of a full‑service water utility on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada, so you’ll be part of an organization where operations teams work side by side across many disciplines.
If you’re a hands‑on leader who takes pride in protecting public health and the environment, we want to hear from you.
This position is open until filled, with the first review of candidates taking place the first week of December 2026, or until a sufficient number of qualified candidates have been received, whichever occurs sooner. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for Friday, December 11, 2026.
