Job summary

Pierce County Library System is seeking a Collection Management Manager to lead day-to-day collection management operations, overseeing acquisitions, cataloging, digital resources, and vendor relationships. The role supports community engagement and reports to the Collection Management Director.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or related field required.
• Five years of experience in library collection management or related area, supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-Day Collection Management Operations including selection, maintenance, acquisitions, cataloging, and digital resources.
• Lead, train, supervise, and evaluate assigned personnel in labor relations and CBA compliance.
• Oversee departmental operations, budgets, vendor relationships, and reporting.
• Communicate policies and represent the library to the public and external organizations.
