Job summary

OceanFirst Bank is seeking a Collateral Management Loan Specialist to provide technical expertise in reviewing, preparing, and maintaining collateral documentation for secured lending. You will ensure compliance with lien perfection, insurance, and tax requirements while guiding staff through complex documentation and risk analysis.

You will support audits, respond to inquiries, and help optimize collateral workflows across the department, working with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years experience in loan servicing, collateral management, or related role.
• Ability to read loan documents including security, UCC filings, and insurance.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare, and maintain collateral documentation for secured lending.
• Ensure lien perfection, insurance compliance, and regulatory adherence.
• Research loan files and property records to resolve inquiries.
• Assist with collateral releases and tax/insurance processing.
• Support audits, loan sales, and external requests as needed.
• Stay current with core banking and collateral tracking systems.
