Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide quality services to students from kindergarten through grade 12 under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator.

The role requires collaboration with teams to plan and implement individualized programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial support, and consultation with general education staff. A commitment to professional standards and compliance with regulations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university is required.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Elementary, Secondary or Special Education types preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Participate in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction and tutorials.
• Consult with general education staff to support inclusive education.
